Minister of State in the Ministry of Mining and Telecommunications the Hon. Laurence Broderick meets with Directors of Western Cement and Accompong Maroons during a tour of St. Elizabeth on Monday November 17, 2008.

Mr. Broderick was afforded a first hand view of Western Cement, which is currently not in operation, but has the capacity to produce lime that is used in the Bauxite and Sugar Industries.

with Colonel Peddie of the Accompong Maroons to discuss
mineral related matters. During the tour Minister
Broderick dispelled rumours regarding possible bauxite
mining on lands owned by the Maroons.
